In need of help!

So I know hoildays aren't supposed to be big and all. I understand that the first thing I will hear from people is, don't worry my kids wont remember.

Well this has nothing to do with that. Fact being I need help with this big time. Everyone knows easter is coming up and I need help asap! I have baskets for my girls, but would like help filing them! I'm trying to get help with our family's traditional easter dinner and our easter party, basically just a small egg hunt with them looking for their baskets and then eggs both boiled and decoracted and the plastic ones i can fill!
I would like to know if anyone is willing to help us out! I know more people are worst off, but this is our tradition on my family. This is something I can't just ignore or blow off. Each year we have a nice dinner and the hunt. And it's like thanksgiving. We say what were are thankful for and i even tell a small story about how Jesus died for us. I haven't been able to the last couple years on the story since our bible was ruined.

Now again I understand that is may not be a big deal to alot but to me this is big. this along with Halloween is a major hoilday for my family. So is there anyone willing to help us? I am willing to provide my home number to those willing to help.

I am also looking for help with office/arts & crafting supplies for my children which I can send a personal email on the items needed/wanted. My oldest is in art therapy for her bi-polar mood swings as a alter to taking mediciation she doesnt need. I need office supplies for my child care/day care I am opening back up to bring in much needed income in a month! Super excited so need help asap!

Please email me personally at fanahthenitelf@yahoo.com or donnakeely@aol.com.

Did anyone get help at all!?!?

I know I didn't get help at all. But I am praying that I didn't get helped because someone else did!! God's favor rest upon us at different times, and I am ok with that. I just hope that God saw fit for someone to get help through this page even if it wasn't me. Though I may feel I really needed it I am ok if God felt someone else needed it more. I pray everyone has a wonderful holiday!!

Save a Home for Christmas

I'm trying hard to help out a friend so they won't be homeless for the Holiday. But every place I've looked they want to charge for fundraising. I want to have all the funds raised go directly to my friend, not to some fees.
I really need some help though as I'm only one person and I can't cover the whole net. But if a lot of people can donate just a little it could build into a lot.

I need ideas, I need help to got people to that link so that they can help if they can. If anyone can help by posting it on other sites I would be very grateful for the assistance.

If you know any place that could help, they have called all over and been turned down. Either there is no money or they are not qualified. Sometimes they are disqualified for the most idiotic reasons. Like not owing enough, or not having utilities disconnected or not being homeless. I thought that prevention was the idea...not trying to fix things after it's broken.

Please go to my homepage http://www.viviti.me/starrweaver/donation.html and help if you can or send others there that you think could help.

I need a miracle, if you can help me I thank you. I would be very happy if they could have a wonderful gift like this for the Holidays. I really don't want them to end up homeless after Christmas.

Angels around the world hear my plea

My family and I have been struggling for a long while... but we have always made things work. This year, it seems, that we won't be so lucky. I have two little girls... ages 5 and 4... who have been dealing with half-broken hand-me-down toys, clothes, and everything else. They don't really know what it's like to have nice things. I have tried many times to find help and it has been beyond hard. It seems with the economy these days unless you had money before the recession started you have no hope to dig yourself out legally. I have been trying to make our home and daily lives much better, but it seems without help we won't be getting that. I'm a Photographer by profession and in order to keep my family running I had to sell my camera, so getting in any jobs pertaining to my field is next to impossible. If someone could please help us with any assistance possible I would be greatly appreciative. I can't do this on my own anymore. Please help.

To my Aidpage Pals - Good news!

I wanted to let you know that I finally - after almost 4 years - have a stove/oven at last!
I was checking out the eBay classifieds, which I don't usually browse, when I found a 2yr old, Kenmore elect. glass top stove for $90! Luck was with me, cause my cousin was close by with his truck! He picked it up for me and brought it inside. So now we will finally be able to have a traditional Thanksgiving & Holiday with my special honey glazed turkey & baked goodies!

On another note of good luck, my cousin is back trucking! This gets him out and on the road - plus the pay is a lot better than what he was getting part time at the local newspaper. As for me, I'm in the process of finishing up a website that I hope to sell some time down the road. It's a chocolate niche website! I'm going to be doing other sites too and seeing if I can sell them as well. Wish me luck!

Hope that everyone has a thankful Thanksgiving. Take care & stay safe.

Counting the things I have at this time of Year.

As I have browsed the many postings, I see so many asking for Christmas help, help to get toys/gifts for children. Yes, I can understand how this mindset has been adopted over so many years. But sometimes I wonder if we aren't setting up our children in a very hurtful way. That no matter what, there will magically be toys under the tree for them.

I've seen it all over online, videos of kids getting gifts and then having a royal fit because it isn't what they want, they don't think clothes, books or such is a real gift and tons more. Like complaining that the car you just got sucks because you don't like the color. Like getting mad that you didn't get a top tech toy and a friend did. We are setting up the entitlement mentality that's such an issue in the world today.

I know that there are folks out there that still believe in the same traditions that were popular when I was a kid...several decades ago.
I was taught that any gift was something to be thankful for and that giving a gift meant so much more.
So I'm giving thanks to those I have around me at home. I'm thankful that we're still in our house, the utility bills are paid till the end of this year. That we have food in the house, enough to last as long as we ration it out wisely. That aside from allergies or tummy, head and body aches, we're in fair health for now. (Not counting pre-existing conditions) That so far the heaters, blankets, sweatshirts, gloves, socks and hats are keeping us all warm inside, during this cold snap we're going through. I'm thankful for the simple fact that each morning that I wake up, I wake up. It gives me another day to be grateful for all that I do have right now. It also gives me another chance to keep things going, so that we can keep all these things we have right now.

My daughter has hinted that she'd like an MP3 player, but I've also over heard her telling her siblings that as long as the utilities are paid, the mortgage is paid and we're all okay...it will be an okay holiday. My older son agreed and stated that all he wanted was a job so that he could help out.

The youngest one said he wanted Noble, the sugar fairy from the Thumbelina video. Trouble is there is no such toy or figure that I can find anywhere. He got the video for his birthday in Nov. and has watched it dozens of times already. He has really become charmed by that little fairy. The only thing else he's wanted is Thomas, the train engine play set - he's asked for it every year since he was 4yrs old. He'd gotten a big play set one year, his older brother got it for a little over $50 on sale. Unfortunately, it was stolen a few days later by a guy who was staying with my cousin.
My cousin was a truck driver back then and came to drop by for Christmas. He ran into a guy he knew some years back who asked if he could stay with him cause he lost his apt. He said that he could sleep in the bottom bunk of the cab. (my cousin slept on the top bunk) He ate with us for Christmas, we treated him well and he seemed to be nice, was pleasant enough. But two days after Christmas, he was gone. The train set was gone, a blender and a Mr Coffee was gone too. (Our tech is in our bedrooms, not easy to get at. Our t.v. is old, VHS was all we had back then, plus the only accessible rooms were the living room, kitchen and bathroom. All other doors were locked. I leave the front door open for my cousin when he's staying over so he can get to those rooms.)

Never saw that guy again. My cousin looked for him, but had no luck either. So it's been something that we've wanted to fix ever since. But those Thomas toys are very costly even when on sale. It's not possible to do this yet. I'm hoping that maybe a Carebear will fill in for Noble. Maybe...lol

But as I've said before, I'm hoping that we all remember to be thankful and grateful for all those things that we DO have already. I also hope that those that are needing the very basic things will be able to find help to get them.

A very warm and loving Holiday to all of you and may it be a brighter and better New Year's ahead for us all.

Santa won't know what I need if I don't ask for it...

There are lots of posts that ask for Holiday help yet I've been a bit standoffish about posting what I need to do for my own family. With so many needing help, my own needs don't seem to be that big a deal.

But someone on here suggested, that if I don't state what I need help with to make things easier for my family and myself to survive a bit longer, there's a chance I may not make it much longer.

It made some sense in an odd way so I guess that I should start posting what I need, although I'm still busy going through things to give to others who are also in need. I figure that perhaps it would be a good trade off in the end. I get room and stop storing things no one can use, plus I may just get some things that we need.

Number one thing that we need right now is a new stove/oven. I've got two working burners and a nonworking oven. It's been over a year since the oven broke down and I've still not found help to get it replaced.
It makes the holidays a bit less cheery if I'm not baking up a storm and making the house smell like a bakery.

The next thing is not all that important, except perhaps to the kids. We've could use some lights for the tree this year. I've not been able to spare the funds to get lights for two seasons and the few strands we have left are now burned out. I'm trying to make due without or find someone local that has a few extra strands so the kids will have a lit tree.

Next is clothing, mostly for my 8yr old son. He's growing like a weed and I'm needing warm pajamas, pants, underwear and shirts for him. My daughter's needing undergarments and warm pajamas, my older boy needs them too, plus some pants and lounge style pajamas.(he doesn't like tight clothing.) Myself, I'd just like to have a pair of slippers to keep my feet warm. I don't need to worry about much else, though I need items, it's not that important for me to get something right now.

It's harsh to have to ask for these items, but with the deficit of $213 per month, it makes things more difficult now. (The $213 doesn't include household items that are commonly used each month either. So if I spend any month to cover these things, the deficit increases. Which isn't good since that's funds for the bills.)

So besides those few things, I'm not too worried about getting much else as there are those that have larger and broader needs. I'm dealing with the increased mortgage, the increased fees on the utilities and as much as I could use the help, there are others in more desperate situations.

So if Santa is listening, it won't be much that will help out our little family. When he's passing over my area, it wouldn't be too much to carry and drop down. The oven might need to be sent over by some elves, but that's about the only item that may be a tad difficult to leave - perhaps on the stairs, since there'd be no room under the tree.

Any assistance would be gratefully received - I've found little assistance available in my area so far - if anyone knows of someplace I missed, that would be great. (have called our help line...everyone's mostly broke or the deadlines have past for applying.)

Happy holidays and warm wishes to all.

Happy Thanksgiving to all - there's always something to be thankful for...

as long as you can take a breath, there is hope to make some kind of change. So be thankful that you've that opportunity to find help, reach out and live another day.
I've finally added my design page to my homepage website. I wanted to get that done before turkey day takes me away. The turkey has been pardoned, we're having ham this year...lol

Although a friend may let me use her oven while she's off for the Holiday with family, so that bird may get cooked before the end of Nov. yet. lol

Been stressed lately, but doing okay. Got family here together for now. Not sure about next month, though I'm hoping that my son won't go till after the Holidays.
There's a chance that he will have a job up north, staying with my niece there, she's got an extra room for him to use. It will be very odd not having him here since he does a lot of my errands for me.

Heard some possible good news from my cousin the trucker. He may be hired on with a different company. Waiting to hear about that after Thanksgiving. Hopefully it will be good news and he'll be able to get back to work after almost 16 months. Since he was an independent contractor under another trucker before, he received no unemployment benefits. This time he's applying directly to the company instead of just being a freelancer.

Well, hope that everyone can keep it together a little longer. Brightest blessings to you all and to your families.

2010 Christmas Help

My family is in need of help for the holidays. Last yr we tried the toys for tots and here in ky it is not worth it at all. We would just like to have something from santa under the tree, some stuff for the boys to open on Christmas Morning. We have a 3yr old and my oldest will be turning 7 on the 8th of Nov.
I have a job but have been off for a month due to a work related injury and not sure when they will let me go back to work.
Thanks and God Bless
